Evangelos Siokas has a joint background in engineering and economics and he holds a Ph.D. in Economic and Strategic Analysis of Innovation and Technology. He is also a graduate of the School of Chemical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens.

In this capacity he has participated in more than fifty (European and national) research and EU projects. His main research interests lie in the field of economics of technology, innovation studies, network analysis, knowledge flows, research joint ventures, knowledge intensive entrepreneurship, advanced statistics and databases management.

He has been coordinator of the EPI.noo incubator of ICCS/ NTUA and project manager of the specialized business acceleration programme “Invent ICT” which was an organization with the aim to mobilize, support and coach students and research groups in their effort to convert innovative ideas as well as their research results into new entrepreneurial ventures.
