Maria-Alexandra Kefala was born in Ioannina. She is a Pediatrician and a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Ioannina. Holds a master’s degree in “Health Promotion of Children and Adolescents”. She was elected for the first time in the 2019 elections as a Member of Parliament for Ioannina with the New Democracy party. Re-elected in the elections of June 2023 and appointed as Deputy Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, with responsibilities for Equality and Human Rights.
