Dimitrios Mantzos is a Member of the Hellenic Parliament, Parliamentary Representative and Foreign Affairs Spokesperson of PASOK – Kinima Allagis political party. 

He is a member of the Standing Committee on National Defense and Foreign Affairs, the Special Standing Committee on European Affairs, the Special Standing Committee on Armament Programs and Contracts and the Special Permanent Committee on Monitoring the Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.

Since 2023, he represents Greece, as a Member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. He is currently the Chairperson of the Organisation’s Sub-Committee on Migrant Smuggling and Trafficking in Human Beings and a Member of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights and the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons.

Previously he served as the Spokesperson of PASOK – Kinima Allagis political party (January 2022-June 2023) and the Director of its Parliamentary Group (July 2019-January 2022).

He has worked as an adviser to the Hellenic Parliament (2015-2019) on legal and constitutional matters and the Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights (2011-2015) on the reform of civil and criminal procedural rules, international judicial cooperation, alternative dispute resolution methods and the judicial and extra-judicial management of private debt.   

He was a member of the Central Mediation Committee of Greece (2014-2021). He was also Executive Secretary of the ADR Promotion Organisation (OPEMED) and Secretary of the EPLO Institute for Justice & Growth Scientific Council.    D. Mantzos is a lawyer at the Supreme Court, member of the Athens Bar Association and accredited mediator. He is a PhD candidate at the University of Athens (doctoral thesis on the legal nature and enforceability of Mediation Clauses). He holds a Law Degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master on Commercial Law from the University of Athens.
