George Maginas was born in Athens in 1977. He is a graduate of Business Administration, specializing in Accounting and Financial Services, from Athens University of Economics and Business and a graduate of University of Strathclyde Business School in the Master of Business Administration (MBA).

He started his career working for Banking, Insurance and Consulting companies such as Citibank, Interamerican and Grant Thornton. Then, he moved to FMGC’s industry working for multinationals companies such as Cadbury, Mondelez Hellas and JDE Peet’s where he mostly built his professional career holding senior management commercial positions. 

On September 2023, he was appointed as the Sales & Marketing Manager of Export Credit Greece (ECG), the state-owned export credit corporation that is supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and aims to support Greek enterprises engaged in international transactions and investments, providing services and products to expand the horizons of their business beyond the Greek borders, with security and in steady steps.
