Panagiotis is a lifelong learner and researcher with over 15 years of research, policy advice and project management experience in education,\u00a0training, key competences, and human capital development. He holds a PhD in Cognitive Science (PhD thesis on creativity<\/a>) from the University of Jyvaskyla, Finland. He has\u00a0published more than 50\u00a0books, studies, articles and policy reports<\/a>. He is an invited speaker at various\u00a0events<\/a>\u00a0on key competences, education, training, and lifelong\u00a0learning. He worked from January 2012 to August 2020 as a scientific officer and team leader at the European Commission\u00b4s Joint Research Centre. He led the design and management of large-scale\u00a0research projects<\/a>\u00a0on innovation in education and training, entrepreneurship, digital skills, computational thinking and human capital development. For instance, he\u00a0led the development of the European Framework for\u00a0Digitally-Competent\u00a0Educational\u00a0Organisations\u00a0(DigCompOrg<\/a>) and contributed to the European Framework on Entrepreneurship Competence (EntreComp). He also\u00a0designed and led the development, testing and implementation of\u00a0the European Commission\u00b4s SELFIE tool\u00a0<\/a>for schools\u00b4 digital capacity, used by more than 2,900,000<\/a> school leaders, teachers and students worldwide.
