    \u2022 From November 2016 till July 2019 he served as Alternate Minister for Environment and Energy of Greece, where he implemented significant reforms on waste recycling, circular economy, sustainable development, forest maps, biodiversity conservation, and climate change

    \u2022 In the current (17th) parliamentary term, he is in charge of Energy and Environmental issues in the Parliamentary Group of SYRIZA. He is also member of the Standing Committee on Production and Trade and of the Special Permanent Committee on Environmental Protection

    \u2022 He is member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, with involvement on issues related to sustainable development, climate change, social affairs, migration and refugees
