Georgios Didaskalou was born in Nafplion, Greece in 1972. He earned his diploma degree in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and obtained a PhD from the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). He also holds two master\u2019s degrees: one from the School of Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens; the other from the School of Economics and Management at the University of the Peloponnese.<\/span><\/p>

In his early career, he worked as a Civi<\/span>l<\/b> Engineer in a range of positions of responsibility. From 2013 to 2014, he worked as an advisor to the Secretary General of the Decentralised Administration of the regions of the Peloponnese, Western Greece, and the Ionian Islands.<\/span><\/p>

During 2014 and 2015, he served as the Secretary General of the Decentralised Administration of the regions of the Peloponnese, Western Greece, and the Ionian Islands, responsible for monitoring and implementing the plans of the Greek Government. During this period, he was appointed President of the Balkan Environmental Centre.<\/span><\/p>

From 2015 until 2019, he worked as the Secretary General of the Municipality of Amaroussion, Attica. In this position, he was responsible for the effective management of the Municipalities\u2019 operations and services.<\/span><\/p>

Since July 2019, he has held the position of the Secretary General of Culture at the Ministry of Culture and Sports.<\/span><\/p>

Over the years he has been elected twice as Chairman of the Governing Council of the Association of Engineers in the public sector for the Central and South Peloponnese. He has also been a proactive member of a number of committees related to Civil Engineering, including the Technical Chamber of Greece and the Association of General Secretaries for Local Government \u201cKleisthenis\u201d.<\/span><\/p>

He has also worked as an adjunct lecturer at the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government and a research associate at the Technical Educational Institute of Athens in the Department of Civil Engineering and Surveying & Geoinformatics Engineering, in addition to other training bodies.<\/span><\/p>

Georgios Didaskalou has authored a large number of research articles related to his academic field and has been invited to speak at conferences and educational programmes in Greece and abroad. He has participated in several scientific committees and working groups, including the Technical Chamber of Greece in the area of the Peloponnese and the Institute of Local Government.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
