In the year 1992 he achieved admission to the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and after graduation he did postgraduate studies in International Commercial Law at the University of Essex in Great Britain.

He is Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee on Public Administration, Public Order and Justice, member of the Standing Committee on National Defence and Foreign Affairs, member of the Committee on Armaments Programmes and Contracts, member of the Greek Delegation to the Council of Europe, member of the Council of Europe’s Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights and of the Subcommittee on the Application of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights and member of the corresponding Greek Parliamentary Committee, which examined He is also a member of the Special Standing Committee on Hellenism in the Diaspora and the Special Committee on Institutions and Transparency. In addition, he is a member of the Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry into the investigation of the Tembes affair.

He has served as a member of the Special Standing Committee on the Penitentiary System, member of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the South-Eastern Cooperation Process. European Neighbourhood Partnership Process (SEECP PA) and member of the EU’s Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP/CSDP) and chairman of the Greek-Icelandic Friendship Committee.

On 3 January 2024 he was appointed Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Citizen Protection.
