Vera Kriezi

Head of New Technologies & Development, Friends of Music Society

Vera Kriezi holds a degree in Library Science and a postgraduate degree in Informatics. For the past 20 years, she has been working at the Friends of Music Society, where she currently serves as Head of New Technologies and Development.

In recent years, her work has focused on the design and implementation of research projects aimed at the preservation, management, and promotion of Cultural Heritage. As part of her professional role, she actively collaborates with research institutions and IT companies to explore how emerging technologies can be applied to the cultural sector, with the goal of enhancing public engagement and supporting educational outreach.

From the early stages of her career, she has been closely involved with the European cultural platform Europeana. She was elected to its Members Council for two consecutive terms and served as Chair of the Europeana Education Community. Her engagement in European initiatives continues through her role as a member of the EUScreen Foundation, a key cultural cluster for audiovisual digital content.

She currently manages innovation-driven research projects at the Friends of Music Society. Her primary interests lie in the development of emerging technologies and the application of artificial intelligence in the field of culture.
