Apostolis Dimitropoulos has studied pedagogics at the Pedagogic Academy of Ioannina (BA), social sciences at the University of Crete (BA) and education policy at the London School of Economics & Political Science (PhD).

Besides his teaching and research experience, he has worked for the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs as an advisor, as well as for the European Commission, UNESCO and the Foundation for Economic & Industrial Research (IOBE) as an expert on education policies.

Since July 2019, he has been Secretary General for Higher Education at the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs.
