Iro Tsimpri raised in Kalavrita in the prefecture of Achaia. She has a degree in Political Science and Public Administration (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens), an MBA EUROPEAN Business degree in Business Administration (University of Brighton) and a degree in Project Management (Dublin College). Since 1999, as the General Director of “ACHAIA – DEVELOPMENT AGENCY S.A.”, she has been responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of co-financed Programmes (LEADER, INTERREG), implemented by the company, in the Prefecture of Achaia and the broader area. Throughout her professional career, she has participated in numerous meetings and conferences, mainly concerning issues of agricultural policy and rural development. Among others, she has been a member of the Coordinating Committee of the Hellenic LEADER Network, representative and member of the National Rural Network (EAD), Representative of the Greek LAGs/Flags in the European LEADER association for Rural Development (ELARD), has a role as the National Coordinator for the National Campaign, within the European Rural Parliament (ERP). She is actively involved in actions related to the role of LAGs (LOCAL ACTION GROUPS – LEADER BODIES) and Multi-Stakeholder Development Companies, through sensitization actions, informing about the initiatives and actions regarding the upgrading – promotion of the region’s identity, local products, and tourism, while actively participating in consultations and other synergies aiming projects ahead, on the next Programming Period 2021-2027.
