Civil engineer as a background (Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées). Early career as senior public official in the French public administration (Ministry of public works and transport). Joint the Commission in 2003, with various responsibilities in cohesion policy, alternating policy development functions and operational experiences, working notably for the implementation  of the policy in Romania, Poland and Hungary. Currently deputy head of the policy development and economic analysis unit – DG REGIO, contributing to the preparation and negotiations of the 2021-2027 legislative framework and now in charge of the preparation of the post 2027 policy
