Dimitris Fragakis
Secretary General, Greek National Tourism Organization

Dimitris Fragakis serves at his current position since August 2019.

Previously, he has held key roles related to the Greek political stage. Specifically, he has served as:

Secretary – General at the Municipality of Chania, Crete (2014 – 2019).

Greek Prime Minister’s Kyriakos Mitsotakis senior advisor at the Ministry of Administrative Reform (2013 – 2014) and his scientific associate at the Greek House of Parliament (2004 – 2013).

Deputy Director – General at the ‘Konstantinos K. Mitsotakis’ Foundation (2000 – 2003).

He run for office at the Greek National Elections in 2019.

He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from the Athens School of Philosophy and a M.D. in Law and Political Science from the University of Athens and speaks English and Italian.

He was born in 1972 in Athens. His place of origin is Chania, Crete where his family is involved in the tourist business.

He is the father of a teenage son, Timoleon.
