Klimentini is a senior official of the European Commission specialized in media, disinformation and strategic communication at the Directorate-General for Communication in Brussels. She was the Director of the Press Office at the European Commission Representations in Greece and Cyprus and Acting Head in both Representations. She has been communicating European policies for more than 23 years, including research and technology, environment, climate change etc. Previously a specialised diplomate (Press Attachée) at the Embassy and the Permanent Representation of Greece in Brussels.
Klimentini is the author of the book “Fake News: What does Europe do?”, released in 2021 and re-edited in 2024 in French and in Greek.
Graduate of the Law School of the Athens Kapodistrian University and a former Lawyer at the Athens Bar. Graduate of the National School of Public Administration (first series of Press Attachés). Postgraduate studies in Criminal Law and Criminology in France (D.E.A. de Droit Pénal et Sciences Criminelles- Université de Pau et de Pays de l’ Adour) and Master of Arts in Digital Communication and Crisis Management at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Regular lecturer in the Postgraduate Program “Institutions, Communication and European Integration” at the European Institute of Communication and participant as a speaker at the Delphi Economic Forum.
