Laura Argyropoulou is a marketing and communication strategist with a focus on destination marketing. After studying finance and business administration at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, she obtained a master’s degree in journalism. She has worked at the International Film Festival of Thessaloniki, and she has been involved in the organization of festivals, conferences, and corporate events. For three years, she was a key executive of the Thessaloniki Convention Bureau. She specializes in the MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions) tourism industry, representing destinations at international exhibitions and B2B forums. She has worked in Amsterdam as a project manager for a destination management company and as the EMEA Marketing Manager of the Global Organization PCMA, based in Chicago.

Moreover, she has worked as a tourist development consultant in Greek regional municipalities, such as the Municipality of Ioannina, Kastoria, Katerini, etc.

Furthermore, she worked as a researcher and communication consultant at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki on European projects related to the development of maritime and marine tourism in Greece and on gender equality issues, while she is an author for the media organization AthiNEA. During this period, she is working as a special advisor at the General Secretariat of Tourism Policy and Development of the Ministry of Tourism.
