Marisa Antonopoulou was born in South Africa but came to Greece at a young age. She studied philosophy and development economics in Bristol, and after six years as a senior auditor at PwC Greece, she decided to leave the world of big business for the world of small businesses. She helped create and develop the first microfinance organization in Greece, AFI Microfinance, which provides access to inclusive financing for existing and potential entrepreneurs throughout Greece.
