Theodoros Baris was born in Pteri Drosias, M.U. Tritaias of the Municipality of Erymanthos.

He graduated from the Lyceum of Erymanthia and is a graduate of the Pedagogical Academy. He holds three postgraduate degrees in pedagogy and administration. He has served education from different positions. At the same time, he has developed trade union activities in the field of education. He has a rich scientific, educational and literary output. He is on the register of adult educators of the EKDDA. He has an excellent knowledge of New Technologies and speaks very good English. In 2006 he was elected Municipal Councillor in the Municipality of Tritaias and in 2009/10 he was President of the Municipal Council. In 2010 he was elected Municipal Councillor in the Municipality of Erymanthos and in 2014 he was the leader of the combination “Cooperation for Erymanthos” where he was elected as the major opposition. In 2019 he was elected Mayor of Erymanthos and renewed his term of office in 2023. He has served as a member of the board of directors of TEDK Achaias as well as the supervisory board of the Regional Association of Municipalities of Western Greece. From 2019 until today he is Vice President of Regional Association of Municipalities of Western Greece.
