Vasiliki Kolypera has been a Health Visitor at the General Pediatric Hospital of Patras “Karamandaneio” for the past 15 years. She was born in Patras and graduated from the Health Visitors School at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens (1990). She holds a Master’s degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens titled “International Medicine and Disaster Medicine” (2014).
Her scientific and research interests lie in the fields of Public Health and Primary Health Care. She is involved in the education and counseling of pediatric patients within the hospital setting (children with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes and morbid obesity) as well as the vaccination of infants, children, and adolescents of the general population of Patras as part of the operations of the Preventive and Social Medicine Outpatient Clinic of the Karamandaneio Hospital.
She is the Health Care Program Coordinator (ΣΠΑΥ) of the Health Care Group of the General Pediatric Hospital of Patras “Karamandaneio,” primarily responsible for coordinating the team and developing community programs with various themes aimed at preventing and promoting population health.
She is a Health Visitor Supervisor and a member of the Scientific Council at the Society for the Prevention and Promotion of Health of the ROMA Population “Health for All.”
She has attended training programs both in Greece and abroad. She has participated in poster presentations and papers, both in Greek and foreign languages. She has delivered numerous presentations at Conferences, Seminars, and Round Table Discussions.
She holds the Adult Educator Certification in Non-Formal Education (EOPPEP) EB 29041.
She is a member of the Hellenic Ballint Society and the Hellenic Diabetes Association.
