Alexandra Sarma
Managing Director SDG House Greece & Orange Grove
Alexandra Sarma is Managing Director and Chairwoman of the Orange Grove incubator and SDG House Greece. As the head of Orange Grove, Alexandra has led multiple innovative projects, including the expansion of the startups incubator beyond Athens in 2017 and its transition to a digital incubator in 2019, helping overcome geographical limitations for innovative entrepreneurs in Greece and beyond. In 2021, she co-founded SDG House Greece to support the development and transition to new sustainable business models to future-proof Greek businesses and help them keep their competitive edge. Previously, Alexandra held management roles at “Save a Life,” a non-profit growing the global volunteer bone marrow donor database; Transifex, a content localization scale-up; and I Kathimerini Special Editions – The Economist. Early in her career, she ran the London-based family business trading sun-dried agricultural products in the international markets. With extensive experience in fostering Greece's startup ecosystem, she is passionate about building entrepreneurial communities. Alexandra holds a Bachelor's degree in European & International Studies (Panteion University) and Master’s degrees in Management, Economics & International Relations (University of St Andrews) and Central & South-East European Studies (UCL). She, also, holds a Business Sustainability Management certificate by the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, is a certified Sustainability Practitioner and a trained B Leader.
