Athanasios Balermpas was born in Athens in 1966. He has served as Secretary General of Citizenship at the Ministry of Interior from 2019 to 2023. He holds a degree in Literature from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master’s degree in Sustainable Local Development. She speaks English and German. He holds a PhD from the Faculty of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens in the field of Urban Planning – Spatial Planning. He has participated as a speaker in conferences regarding the city and culture, and has published relevant studies in scientific journals. He has published books in “LIVANI” and “Hellenic Letters”. He has served as President and CEO of public sector and local government limited liability companies. He works as a certified education officer in an International Baccalaureate structure.
