∙ National Coordinator of the Hellenic Healthy Cities Network – Greece 

o Coordinating the participant Municipalities on implementing the Healthy Cities program o Representing the Network to the WHO 

o Responsible for the implementation of the WHO Strategies, Policies and practices by the  Network 

o Coordinating all the working groups in Scientific Committee of the Network (23) 

o Planning and organizing Business Meetings 

o Monitoring and evaluating of the implementation of the program by all cities 

o Managed the Network’s certification 

o Consulting on the participant cities’ applications for certification 

o Head of the team that conducts and compiles the health profiles of the Municipalities  Members and responsible for the final edition. 

05/2010 – 11/2011 Hellenic Healthy Cities Network 

∙ National Coordinator and General Director of the Hellenic Healthy Cities Network  

o Coordinating the National Hellenic Healthy Cities Network on implementing the  international Healthy Cities program. 

o Reorganizing the Network. Working on merging the Network with other two Local  Authorities Networks for Health. 

1993 – 2010 Hellenic Healthy Cities Network 

∙ Work on establishing the Network in Greece, elected member of the Board of Directors. 

09/1982 – 05/2010 Municipality of Athens 

∙ Coordinator of the Healthy Cities Program for the city of Athens (12/2004 – 05/2010) 

o Proposed the implementation of the Healthy Cities Program to the city board. 

o Founded and directed the Office of the Healthy Cities Athens 

o Planned, organized and supervised the implementation of the program by the city of Athens o Managed and organized a number of researches, conferences, social plans; coordinated 

actions between political and administrative offices 

o Created the city of Athens’ health profile  

o Represented the City of Athens to the World Health Organization 

∙ Head of the Department of Indicators and Quality of life (2004-2010) 

∙ Head of the Office for Equal Rights (06/1994 – 12/2004) 

o Founded and directed the Office for Equal Rights for the City of Athens 

o Created hostel for abused women  

o Working on planning and reorganization of Social and Health Sector and on the creation  of Offices for addicts, for people with disabilities and for the homeless 

o Planned and applied 22 different European Fund programs for the City of Athens 

∙ Head of the Departments of Social Service and of the Department of Cultural and Youth  Centers in the Organization of Youths and Sport of the Municipality of Athens. (1988-1991)  ∙ Head of the Counseling Center of the 2nd District in Athens (1983-1987) 

∙ Head of the Cultural Center in 2nd District in Athens, research for the needs of youths, working  for the creation of the Social Service and counseling centers for Families
