George Galanos

Associate Professor, Department of International & European Studies, Economic Policy & Competitiveness, University of Piraeus

George Galanos is an economist, Associate Professor of Economic Policy and Competitiveness at the Department of International and European Studies, University of Piraeus. He was born in Piraeus and studied economics at the University of Piraeus. He holds an MBA focus in Tourism Management and a PhD in International Economics and Tourism Competitiveness.  He is a member of the Academic Council of the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies. He has participated in a large number of international conferences and has published numerous papers in journals and edited volumes on ONE, Economic Crisis , Eurozone Governance Crisis , Foreign Direct Investment. He has many years of experience, in project management and consulting services to the public and private sector for the technical and administrative management and monitoring of development projects and European and national programmes. He has extensive knowledge and experience in organizing and managing project teams. His expertise covers the following scientific areas Economic Policy, European Economic Policy, International Economic Relations, Tourism Development, Development of Strategic and Operational Plans, Business Development Studies, Business Development Studies, Reorganisation of Local Authorities.
