George Pappas is a certified public accountant and participates as a member of experienced audit teams that manage a wide range of tasks.
He has over 20 years of professional experience. He has worked for several years in public accounting firms, participating in a number of regular and management audits, in companies in the financial, industrial, shipping, commercial and public sectors.
He has significant and many years of experience as an Internal Auditor and as an executive in a financial institution. In addition, he served as Group Financial Manager for Greece and South-Eastern Europe in industry.
He is a lecturer at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (IESOEL) and in the Postgraduate Studies program of the National University of Athens. He has been a lecturer at the Department of Accounting and Finance of the former technological Institute of Western Greece for a decade and has conducted several accounting seminars.
He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Piraeus, a postgraduate degree in vocational education from the IESOEL, a postgraduate MBA from the University of Patras and a postgraduate Master in Banking from the Hellenic Institute of Public Administration and is a PhD candidate in Accounting and Taxation at the Hellenic Institute of Public Administration. He is a member of the Greek Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Hellenic Institute of Internal Auditors.
He is President of the Economic Chamber of Northwest Peloponnese and Western Greece since December 2019
