Ioanna Theodoropoulou

 Lawyer, EUAA, Co-Coordinator EU Youth Hub

Ioanna is a Lawyer and accredited mediator.

She is currently working at the European Union Asylum Agency, supporting the General Secretariat for Vulnerable Persons and Institutional Protection of the Ministry of Migration and Asylum, in Athens, Greece.

She has studied Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). She holds an LL.M. in Criminology and Anti-criminal Policy from the NKUA, and an LL.M. in International and European Law from the same university.

She has professional experience both in the public and the private sector, having worked at the Ministry of Justice of the Hellenic Republic as well as law firms.

She speaks Greek, English and German and she is interested in the research on European and International Law and Politics, the protection of Human Rights and the formulation of public, social and anti-crime policies.

Ioanna has taken part in human rights trainings and seminars. In addition, she has participated as a speaker in various national and international conferences.

She is also a volunteer at the EU Youth Hub, where she was recently elected as the organisation’s Co-Coordinator. EU Youth Hub is an independent group of young Europeans, supported by Eliamep that conducts research and activities on the EU (with emphasis on young Europeans), aiming at promoting deliberation and improve the quality of democratic governance within the EU.
