Marios Dafnomilis is a Foresight Special Adviser at the Presidency of the Government, working on the portfolios of artificial intelligence, climate change, EU and international cooperation and strategic policy planning. In this role, he actively supports the High-Level Advisory Committee on AI under the Greek Prime Minister and has contributed to the development and publication of Greece’s National Strategy on AI.
He has worked as an ESG Risk Consultant, specializing in sustainability and responsible business practices. Earlier in his career, he worked as a civil engineer on large-scale energy infrastructure projects in the United Kingdom and North Africa.
Since 2022, he has also been appointed by the European Commission as an Ambassador of the European Climate Pact. From 2021 to 2024, he served on the Executive Board of a youth NGO focused on addressing key political and social challenges faced by GenZ.
He holds an MEng in Civil Engineering. He received his Master’s degree in Geo-Environmental Engineering (MSc, DIC) from Imperial College London, being an Onassis Foundation Scholar. Marios is also a current Bertelsmann Foundation DC Fellow.
