1. He was born and raised in Agrinio, where he completed the six-grade secondary school (Gymnasium).

2. He holds a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Athens and a postgraduate Diploma in Business Studies from the City of London Polytechnic (now City University).

3. Since 1986, he has been active in business through Metalloplastiki Agriniou S.A. and its group of companies.

4. He was elected President of the Chamber of Aetoloakarnania in 2001 and has been re-elected continuously ever since. He has been active in the Chamber since 1987 and has held the positions of First and Second Vice President for an extended period.

5. He is also President of the Managing Authority for European Programs of Western Greece, the Peloponnese, Epirus, and the Ionian Islands, and Vice President of EFEPAE (Intermediate Body for the Management of European Programs).

6. He is a member of the Boards of Directors of the following organizations:

• Forum of Chambers of the Adriatic and Ionian, where he serves as Vice President.
• Trichonida S.A. (Development Company), and a member of the Management Committee of LEADER+ (EAPL+).

7. He is married to Sophia K. Papakonstantinou and they have three children
