He is an agronomist graduated from the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) with MSc in horticultural science from the same university. He has his own business in the field of marketing of pesticides, fertilizers, etc.

He is the President of both the Department of Peloponnisos and Western Greece of the Geotechnical Chamber of Greece and the Association of Self-employed Agriculturalists of the prefecture of Ilia.

He is married to the agronomist Stergiou Vaso and they have two children.
