Dr. Theo Benos is a member of the Research Laboratory on Socio-Economic and Environmental Sustainability (ReSEES) at the Athens University of Economics and Business. He is also affiliated with the Sustainable International Business (SIB) Research Center at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences. Theo Benos holds a BSc in International Economics, two Master’s degrees, and a PhD in Cooperatives from Wageningen University. He has previously worked as a researcher at the University of Crete, served as an advisor to the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and taught as a Lecturer at Maastricht University. Additionally, Dr. Benos has collaborated with the Italian Institute for Agricultural Research “CREA” and the Research and Policy Institute “diaNEOsis”. His research and policy work focuses on cooperatives agricultural policy, agri-food systems, and sustainable development.
