Vassilis Tountopoulos is a strategic development consultant with significant experience in financial management, strategic planning and innovation adoption for companies and organizations. He is the founder and CEO of MPDO CONSULTING S.A. (mpdo.gr), founder and director of the sports travel agency KOTINOS TALES (kotinostales.com).
He is a PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Peloponnese University, majoring in business analytics. He holds an MBA in Banking from ALBA Graduate Business School and an MSc in Tourism Administration from Hellenic Open University and is a registered adult educator at Lifelong Learning Center of the University of Patras.
In the past, he served as Regional Director of SMEs Restructuring and Director of Business Centers of large banking institutions such as Piraeus Bank, Bank of Cyprus, and Alpha Bank. During his career, he successfully handled significant cases of financing, restructuring, development, and consolidation for companies, while he provided alternative funding sources for small and medium-sized enterprises. He is constantly participating as a consultant and mentor in international and domestic projects that support entrepreneurship, management and good governance for companies and organizations, and is constantly being invited as keynote speaker in forums, congresses, and workshops.
Voluntarily, Vassilis is a member of the Advisory Board of NGOs such us SOCIACT SOCIAL INNOVATION HUB NGO (sociact.org), and as a member of the Hellenic Scientific Society for Sports and Recreation Management, he acts as a pro-bono consultant for amateurs’ Sport Clubs and Associations.
