Dimitrios Skouras

Vice Rector for Finance and Planning, University of Patras

Dimitris Skouras is a professor of economics at the Department of Economics of the University of Patras in Greece. Dimitris has a very long experience in EU and international program development, evaluation and impact assessment, based on over 30 years of research, teaching and consulting. At the University of Patras he has served as Dean of the School of Business (2014-2018), Head of the Department of Economics (2003-2005), an elected member of the University’s Senate (2003-2018) and a member of Board at the University’s “Property Management Enterprise” (2003-2018). He is currently on a sabbatical leave for research on climate change and ecosystem services at UK, Latin American and Greek universities. Dimitris has a Ph.D (1990) in Economic Geography and an M.Sc. (1986) in Rural and Regional Resources Planning from the University of Aberdeen, a Diploma (Distinction) in Statistics and Data Analysis from the University of Essex (1991) and a Diploma in Forestry and Natural Resources from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
