Ioannes P. Chountis

Senior Political Affairs Advisor, Hellenic Parliament

Ioannes P. Chountis is a Special-Advisor at the Hellenic Parliament and a PhD Candidate in the History of Political Thought at the University of Aberdeen (UK). He holds a bachelor’s degree in Classics and three master’s degrees in Political Philosophy, Modern History, and Political Strategy. In 2015 he founded the youth think-tank ‘’Center for Reform’’ (KE.A.SM.) hosting more than fifty events all around Greece on issues respecting the economy, international relations and education. In 2021 he was selected for the Future Leaders Invitation Program of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ioannes is a contributor to English Kathimerini/ International New York Times and has published papers in international peer-reviewed journals. His book Romanticism in Power. Aspects of Lord Byron’s Political Ideas will be published later this spring.
