Loukas Hadellis

Professor in Electrical & Computer Engineering Dept. of the University of Peloponnese and Professor-Cooperating Teaching Stuff at the Hellenic Open University

Loukas Hadellis is a Professor in Electrical & Computer Engineering Dept. of the University of Peloponnese and Professor-Cooperating Teaching Stuff at the Hellenic Open University. He was born in Volos, raised in Larissa and lives in Patras, Greece. Has a PhD and a Diploma in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the Engineering School of the University of Patras Greece and a Master of Engineering from the Electronics Dept. of Carleton University, Ottawa Canada. 

His professional experience and employment history since 1981, includes Carleton University Engineering School (Teaching & Research Assistant), Bell Northern Research-BNR Ottawa Canada (R&D Engineer in fiber optics), University of Patras Electrical & Computer Engineering (R&D Engineer in computer & fiber optic networks), EGL Western Greece Paper Mills Industry (Technical Management & Production Engineer in industrial automation systems), Institute of Biomedical Technology-INBIT (Research Projects Technical Management in computer networks) and Self-Employed/Independent Contractor in Audio Engineering & Music Instructing. Was elected to the position of Assistant Professor at TEI of Patras in 1995, became Associate Professor in 2002 and Full Professor in 2008. Collaborated with several R&D organizations such as Corallia mi-cluster, Hellenic Emerging Technologies Industry Association (Hetia), Industrial Systems Institute (ISI) Athena Research Center, with private sector companies on research projects and with the Ministry of Development & Investment as a Committee of Experts member/deputy chairman for IPCEI evaluation.  Has worked in many R&D projects (ESPRIT, RACE, AIM, GSRT, OPEIVT, InfoSociety, Memsense/OPCE ΙΙ, NSRF κλπ.), has 16 published papers, >175 citations, 6 patent citations, >40 deliverables/technical reports and is the author of a university textbook. Member of TEE-TCG, PSDMH, STEB, HELINA, EAA.
